What Is A Blog?
















A "blog" is short for web log. This log is used as a journal for recording events. The teachers were trained in creating a blog yesterday. They are working hard on creating a classroom blog. When these are complete, you will be able to log on and see what is going on in your child's classroom.

Teachers Learn Too!


Faculty members had two hours of technology training on Thursday, November 17th. Educators are required to complete 6 hours of technology training per school year.
Mrs. B. and Mrs. Hatcher work on the skill "cutting and pasting" in an e-mail.

Public Meeting Held November 14th and 15th

Our annual public meetings were held on November 14th on the Tyronza campus and on November 15th on the Lepanto campus. Mr. Williams, high school and junior high principal, Mrs. Coburn, Tyronza elementary principal, Mrs. Hannah, federal coordinator, and I each discussed the district's progress toward making AYP. Mrs. Hannah discussed the federal budget along with the educational programs the federal dollars fund.

Weekly Professional Development




Faculty discuss curriculum rigor and relevance. Faculty meet weekly in order to discuss progress made toward "Leaving No Child Behind."
