Science is in the air!

The state mandated benchmark and spring break are over. But the work at Weiner Elementary is not. This nine weeks reading will be taught through two science units. This is known as "reading across the curriculum." Reading skills can be taught no matter what the material is. The kids can read a newspaper, magazine article or even surf the web. Teachers can use any of these materials to teach all of the required reading skills.

Ask your child what is different about reading this nine weeks. If you have any questions call me at 684-2252 or drop by to visit your child's classroom.
